Promote a pool of apps at once

A pool groups apps so a single action promotes all of their ready revisions. It exists for an operator running many apps who does not want to click Cutover once per app. It is an ergonomics layer over the same per-app cutover, not a different promotion mechanism.

Assign an app to a pool

An app belongs to at most one pool. Assign it either from the Pool dropdown on the repository's form under Settings → Repositories, or from the Pools tab, which manages pools directly. Removing a pool un-pools its apps and returns them to promoting individually; it never deletes the apps.

Update all

When members of a pool have revisions ready, the Updates tab groups them under the pool with an Update all button. It enqueues a job that promotes every ready member through the same proven per-app cutover and reports the result per member — promoted, skipped, or failed — and continues past a failure. A partial batch is a valid outcome: if five of six promote and one fails, the five are live and stay live, and the failure is named. Progress streams to the tab as each member completes, ending with a tally.

Apps that are not in a pool continue to promote individually, exactly as before.

Fully automatic promotion is not a default. A green build proves the code compiled, not that it is correct, so promotion stays a deliberate act.
